Marriage Group Retreat

Last weekend our marriage group had a retreat at a house just outside of town. The theme was prayer, and we had a great time of fellowship with music, lots of food, and awesome prayer as couples and as a group.

Hosting Marriage Group

Last week we hosted the Marriage Group at our house for dinner.

Awesome time of eating, sharing, praying, and studying.

We talked about the Gifts of the Spirit, it was really interesting to discuss the different gifts as a group. If you want to check out some of these gifts read Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4 in the Bible.

Lots of encouraging experiences were shared.

There was a mountain of dishes to do after, but that's a small price to pay for such fabulous fellowship!

Marriage Group

 Here are some snapshots from our Marriage Group, we meet every Friday night at the home of one of the married couples from our church, and are currently going through the Alpha Marriage Course. We all have the books, and there are cool sections that teach on things like parents and in-laws to conflict resolution to communication etc. 

 It's been great, we've enjoyed getting to know the other married couples in the church - marriages having begun months ago to those who've had many years together.

  It is a nice space to connect with other couples and have confidence to share and encourage one another - and the snacks are always delicious!

Our friend Alejandro (center) is the main leader of the group, and he encourages some great conversation!

Carol's Visit: Married Group Dinner

A few weeks ago, we had the chance to go out to dinner with our married group to celebrate Valentines Day. We spent the evening at a restuarant in Dichato.

A "parrilla" which basically means a big bowl of meat with burning coals underneath to keep it warm. It includes chicken, blood sausage, chorizo, intestines (chitterlings I believe is correct?), beef, with some potatoes hidden underneath. Not really our thing..but everyone else loved it!
