Christmas Time is here!

Hello all!

We hope that you have been enjoying the Christmas season, and have been enjoying the festivities and time with family that comes with the season. We also hope that you were able to take some time to think about what we are remembering this time of the year.

We have been Busy, and we promised you that we would put up photos from our trip to the national park Laguna de Laja. If you are interested in seeing some follow this link below!

In case you didn't know the Wieber family is down here, and we have been having a blast with them! We don't want to write too much, so we are going to put up a bunch of photos taken in the last two weeks with subtitles.

Samaritan's Purse

You may have heard of Samaritan's Purse before, but if not, it's a Canadian program that sends gift boxes all over the world. Anyone can fill a shoe box with toys and candy, specifying an age group and gender, and then they turn them in wherever they are being collected. The boxes are then shipped all over the place, and come with a small booklet that shares the gospel. It's a really great program that Luciano's church has used for many years - and this year they gave him over 2,000 boxes to give to the kids who are still living without permanent housing after the earthquake! The only thing we had to do to get these boxes was to find a way to bring them to Tome from where they were - about 2.5 hours south.

So we readied the van for a heavy load!

We also rented another truck to fill with boxes

The van ended up holding 20 big boxes filled with shoe boxes, it was a lot to carry, but the car did just fine!

We also filled the truck to the brim (and more!)

The catch was that we also had to the unload all the boxes...

Currently they are residing at Luciano's until we can hand them out.

While Jordan did all the hard work, Missy just took the pictures.

We are very excited to be able to give all these boxes away come Christmas!

Garden Update

Hey everyone! We are going camping this week, but wanted to leave you with some exciting pictures of our growing garden. We are already eating "una caleta" (a TON) of lettuce everyday, and it just seems to keep growing!

Small bed with lettuce, some beets, a tomato and zucchini plant

Large bed with tomatoes, beets, lettuce, garlic and zucchini

The garlic plants

The tomato plants are tied up to posts, but are still all over the place

We've got a big mix of lettuce types, with some beautiful Romaine that I grew from seed

Flowers from the zucchini

Imac checking things out

Jordan built a little bench a few weeks ago, it offers a great view of the bay of Tome.

Blessings, may you all have a wonderful week.

Conexion Juvenil

Hey All!
We were at a youth conference in Concepcion this weekend filming all the speakers. It was a great time, and we met some wonderful people. Here are just a few pictures we got from the day!

Our good friend Pastor Cesar spoke at the conference...

He had everyone laughing just about the whole time

Missy filming the question and answer session

We had the pleasure of going out to lunch with the speakers, it was a great opportunity to get to know a little bit about them outside of the conference

Pastor Luciano also shared

Overall it was a very long day, but a fabulous chance to learn a bit, film a lot, and get to know more Chileans!
Blessings to you today,
Jordan and Missy
